CYHA Staff

Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer with CYHA Hockey. The information below will itemize what is needed for each of our Volunteer types. Once you have reviewed the information for the role you are pursing, please proceed to complete the registration.

•  If you register with USA Hockey under a different name format than years past (Bill vs William) - your CEP and Safe Sport won't show up properly and you'll need to merge your accounts to get rostered properly.

• All roster information pulls from the USAH registration - not from the other data you enter in this CYHA Crossbar Staff registration - your CEP, Safe Sport and background checks all pull from here once your certifications electronically move through the system. This can be a slow process - don't wait until the last minute to complete items or you'll risk being redlined.

• Each participant must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to sign up for the 2026-2027 Season. This is an annual registration and must be done once each year.

• Be sure to PRINT and SAVE the USA Hockey confirmation code(s). Each coach, manager or volunteer must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.

• To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or PayPal account information available. (There is no charge to register with USAH for Team Managers and Volunteers; it does NOT allow on-ice participation.)

Season Staff Registration

Any board members or volunteers that are going to help with tryouts must, at a minimum, complete the CYHA registration, Safesport and background check if they are not current. Background checks are good for 2 seasons!

CYHA Board Members, Team managers and Volunteers need to register with CYHA in order to be placed on a roster or if you are volunteering to fulfill any DIBS that have player interaction. Please make sure you receive the confirmation email – ensuring your registration was completed.

By registering, you are committing to complete all of the following within 1 week of this registration:

Additional Manager Specific Criteria:

No Coach Spouses:

Per D10, Managers are not allowed to manage any team where there is a spouse who is also registered with that team as a coach.

Managers Managing more than 1 team:

Managers are allowed to manage more than one team however a manger is only allowed to manage team finances on ONE team only.

Team Checking Account

All managers must use the register and budget form that is located to the right hand side of this manager page.  These documents must be sent out to the team on a monthly basis.  

Team managers are also not allowed to manager finances on different teams, if you are managing more than one team you will need to find someone to help you manger the finances on the remaining teams.

Tournaments and Ref's

The association will send each team a bill for the tournaments that the association has put the team in. Please note that the association will cover 50% of the tournaments CYHA registered for.  

Teams are responsible to obtain ref's for scrimmages and the team is also responsible to pay for these ref's from their team assessment please budget accordingly.

Game Scoresheets (Only those not in GameSheet)

Managers remember that the white copy of Scoresheets are to be sent into D10 NOT the goldenrod copy as states on the pages of the book D10 must have the white copies books are incorrect on the pages. Any questions contact your D10 level rep.
